Project #2: Childhood & Youth and Lost Land
For the second dialogue project the schools selected different themes: Childhood & Youth and Lost Land. The students from the Danish and Palestinian schools worked with the themes during autumn 2014, and at some of the schools they worked together and made joint presentations when they met in Denmark in October.

Nyborg Gymnasium and Faqqu'a School in Jenin worked with the theme Childhood & Youth. The purpose of the project was to focus on different elements of the culture and the living conditions of the two countries and trying to found out how we are different, how we are alike and how we can express ourselves and contribute to our own societies. The project was carried out during the visit from Palestine and also included presentation of Danish
childhood activities such as visit to the beach, ice skating and a visit to the house of fairy tale author H.C. Andersen. See a video presentation of the project here:

Tira & Beit Ur Fawka Mixed Secondary School and Kolding HF and VUC worked with the theme Lost Land. The Palestinian students contributed with personal stories about how they experience the Israel/Palestine conflict and the occupation. The Danish students on the other hand looked at the various demarcations between Denmark and Germany over the years and presented it to the Palestinian class via Google Docs and Facebook. It was an occasion for the students to discuss lost land and demarcations in international affairs.
Skt. Annæ Gymnasium in Copenhagen and the Arab Evangelical Episcopal School in Ramallah continued their collaboration during the visit to Denmark on Palestine and life under occupation.
Danish and Palestinian students worked together in groups in a French class and made joint presentations.
